About TECMIPT

Mission

The mission of the Test and Evaluation Capabilities and Methodologies Integrated Process Team (TECMIPT) is to provide technical expertise, reviews and recommendations to the CBDP T&E Executive concerning T&E gap identification, T&E capability requirements development, verification and validation (V&V) of CBDP T&E capabilities, and Test Operations Procedures (TOPs). More specifically, the TECMIPT seeks to:

  • Identify and prioritize T&E capabilities gaps to support T&E infrastructure investment planning.
  • Develop, coordinate, and finalize for T&E Executive approval, requirements for T&E Capabilities projects, which are documented as prioritized T&E capability needs (TECNs) and include a description of the commodity area T&E Strategy.
  • Review V&V plans, data and final reports for T&E capabilities.
  • Review and approve TOPs that support the validation and use of T&E capabilities.

The Test and Evaluation Capabilities and Methodologies Integrated Process Team (TECMIPT) was established by the Chemical and Biological Defense Program (CBDP) Test & Evaluation (T&E) Executive in March of 2005. The cross-community body provides technical recommendations for T&E strategies, identifies T&E capability gaps, and develops community agreed upon T&E Standards.

By 2010, the TECMIPT incorporated federal interagency partners, and member agencies currently with TECMIPT representatives include:

The working sub-groups of the TECMIPT are organized by Commodity Area and are called the Commodity Area Process Action Teams (CAPATs). Each CAPAT is chaired by a Test & Evaluation community subject matter expert (SME). There are currently 6 CAPATS:

  • Warfighter Protection
